Susan's son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months. Since then, Susan and her family have endured a challenging road ensuring that her son, and many others with intellectual disabilities in the community, receive the programs and services in which they are entitled. Susan and husband, Michael, filed Due Process (a lawsuit) against Wake County Public School System two seperate times to ensure that the system provides the services in which special needs students are entitled.
